The Whale Stranding

Large black bodies lay stranded on the beach making heart-breaking calling sounds as people rush to help with wet towels and water. There are at least three people assigned to a whale to keep them wet  and hydrated at least three hundred whales are dead and only one hundred are released most whales are left with no hope of survival.

Opinions differ to why the whales get stuck but it is either the leader of their pod is dying or sick so they are confused to where they are going or the other opinion is that they didn’t know that the hooked beach was there and they got stuck. Even after the whales have been released they keep coming back and getting stuck again. some say that it is to see if they can get the other whales unstuck. And then get stranded again.

Whales that have died are cut open because the gases inside it build up and since the gases can’t escape their very thick blubber they eventually explode.

75% of the whales are dead but 25% survived it was very sad that so many were stranded but at least some escaped alive.
